(This
is based on whatever information available. Apologies to disciples from Penang, Taiping
or elsewhere or Mandarin Sections if they are not reported in the news. The purpose of this section is
to record down some of the activities that the writer is able to know during the course of the disciples journey)
The retreat for the participants of the
year 2001 was held on 1st February to 3rd February 2002 at Stella Maris, Penang..
Disciple Facilitators Formation Retreat
2002 was held on 14th to 17th March 2002 in Port Dickson Golf & Country
Club to prepare disciples for their role as Facilitators in 2002.
Orientation
for participants of Butterworth was held on 14th April 2002, and for Kulim on
15th April 2002.
The
first lesson for the participants was held on 30th April 2002 for the
Butterworth participants. There were 2 groups in Butterworth,
facilitated by Winny, Savaridas, and Thomas. There is 1 group in Kulim,
facilitated by James and Stephen.
Taiping
does not have any group, while Ipoh has started with 2 mandarin and 2 english
groups. The english groups were facilitated by Hilary and Magdalene from Kuala
Lumpur.
A combined
Penang-Butterworth-Kulim-Sungai Petani Participant End Retreat was held at
Tanjung Bungah Beach Hotel, Penang from 10th to 12th January 2003.
As
of 13th June 2001, the Butterworth Church has 2 Disciple Groups, while the
Kulim Church has 4 Groups.
As of 10th September 2001, all the disciple groups in Penang, Kulim, and
Taiping have completed lesson 17, which means they have completed the whole
of the Old Testament.
All the core team members organized a Passover Meal on the 15th September
2001 at Holy Spirit Church, Penang for the English speaking participants. The
Mandarin speaking participants had a similar event organized on the 11th
September 2001.
The Disciples program for year 2001 is expected to start in May 2001. The
